The beginning
Where did The Palace Center begin?
For more than seventy years, the building at 623 Hanover Avenue was the Ice Palace Skating Arena: a gathering place that generations of Lehigh Valley families called their own. It was where people learned to skate, where birthdays and holidays were celebrated, where communities came together on a cold afternoon with nowhere better to be.
When the Ice Palace closed, Anne and Albert Abdouche didn't want that chapter of Lehigh Valley history to simply end. So they preserved the name, honored what this place had meant to people, and opened something new inside the same walls.
The Palace Center opened in June 2008, and the address on Hanover Avenue has been a place where people gather ever since.
